UCD Junior Debating Competition

Junior Debating Update
Thursday, 18th October 2018
Conor Hughes, Conor Casey, Ben Kieran-Glennon and Frazer McGinn (all 2nd Year) competed in the second round of the UCD Junior Debating Competition on Thursday night (18th October) hosted by the UCD Law Society and the UCD Literary & Historical Society.
The motions were:

Conor Hughes and Conor Casey (3rd Proposition) and they were placed 2nd in their debate out of 8 teams in this debate |
There were 240 students participating in this round of the competition. Comments from the judges were encouraging, praising the structure, the respect, the confident manner and the excellent style of the Blackrock students’ speeches.

The third round of this competition will take place on Thursday, November 8th in UCD.
We are also competing in St. Conleth’s School on Saturday, November 17th in the Conleth’s Mace.
