Student Council
The Student Council is the representative body for current students in Blackrock College and acts as a link between the students and other parts of the College infrastructure.
There are thirteen student members, two from each Year group with an additional third member from Transition Year, plus two representatives of the Boarding School. Other students are co-opted i.e. representatives of the Green Schools, Development Ed., Student Wellbeing, CADLC, Debating and MUN committees.
The Student Council is chaired by a 6th Year student with a 5th Year student acting as Secretary. The Principal, Deputy Principal and Academic Administrator attend Student Council meetings which take place every two weeks throughout the school year.
