TRANSITION YEAR FAMILY MASS

Fr. Peter Conaty, CSSp. Chairman of our Trustee Body, the D.E.A., was Chief Celebrant of the Transition Year Family Mass on Sunday last, 8th February 2015.

In an excellent homily, he reminded the boys that the Transition Year Mission Projects are not just in Kolkata, Machakos, on the Camino or in other outreach but also at home, here in Blackrock. He stressed the importance of ‘Being There’ for one another, so that God is made known by their love and care for each other.

I thank the President of the Union, Shane Murphy (class of 1981), his wife Hilary and sons Peter and Robert, Mr Tom Ryan, Mr Goan, Mr Brennan, Mr Smyth, Mr O’Reilly, Ms McMahon, Ms Cunningham, Ms O’Kane, Ms O’Connor, Mr Grumley Traynor, Mr Walsh, Mr Herlihy, the Concelebrating Community and, of course, the boys and their families for their presence and contribution to such an inspiring liturgy.
