SVP Cyclethon 2018

5th Year Cyclethon

The fifth Year Cyclethon in aid of St Vincent De Paul was a resounding success last Thursday, the 29th November. Over 180 boys participated in the event, cycling throughout the day from 8am to 4pm. Their involvement combined with the support of Investec, the event’s lead sponsor, successfully raised over €4,000 for St Vincent De Paul.
The day saw excellent competition between the Houses but in the end, Leman and Ebenrecht came out on top:

1. Leman & Ebenrecht – 490.2km
2. DeValera & McQuaid – 456.4km
3. Duff & Shanahan – 454.8km

The boys cycled a combined total of 1401.4kn, the equivalent of traveling from Dublin to Milan! It was an enjoyable occasion for all and a memorable penultimate day for Ms Dobbyn as Fifth Year Dean.
