It was an excellent game. You can strike out the 4th goal, scored in the last minute of injury time with our goalkeeper up in the opposition box.

We sympathise with captain Daniel Bennett (6th Year) and his squad who certainly gave their all and did so with great skill and passion.

Eoin Maher (6th Year) put us ahead in the 1st half but 2 goals in a 3 minute spell gave Coláiste na hInse a 2 – 1 lead at half-time. Callum Dunne (6th Year) scored the equaliser and on the balance of play, we looked to be the more likely to win.

However, an 82nd minute goal left us struggling and despite the best efforts of all involved, it was not to be.

It has been a great season with many highlights and we thank our coaches of Peter Quinlan (class of 2019), Riley Smith (class of 2021), Max Mooney (class of 2022) and Mr O’Brien for their preparation of the team.
