Senior Tennis – Division 1 Campaign

Our Senior Tennis team started its Division 1 campaign with a win over the Belvedere team on Wednesday, 4th May, on the College courts. Captain James Brophy (6th Year) produced a strong performance winning his match in straight sets. Callum O’Brien (6th Year) and John Glynn (5th Year) played well in the other singles matches but fell short against their respective opponents. In the doubles matches, Will Fitzgerald (6th Year) and James Sheridan (5th Year) won comfortably and it was left to Mark McCabe (6th Year) and Matthew Dowley (5th Year) to clinch the deciding match, which they did in three close sets.

Next up for the Senior team is St Michael’s on Monday 9th May, also at home.
