Senior Debating Update

The Leinster Debating Championships are well underway and we had four senior teams representing us. In the opening round held in Trinity last week, Mark McGrane and John Huggard (both 5th Year) advanced to the 2nd round of the competition.

This week our team of Dylan Hutchinson and Michael Ryan; Niall Meagher and Max McKenna; Drummond McGinn (6th Year) and Tom Dooley (5th Year) all represented the college, debating the motion: ‘That this House would cut government funding for Arts’.

We congratulate Dylan Hutchinson and Niall Meagher on advancing to the next round.

Michael Ryan, Max McKenna, Drummond McGinn and Tom Dooley can still get through on a wild card round.
