Rugby Senior Cup 2022 – SCT V St. Michaels

Congratulations to Gus McCarthy and his squad on their victory over an excellent St. Michael’s squad. It was a strong encounter, hard fought throughout.

We salute St. Michael’s for their skill, spirit, and sportsmanship.  It was a tough, hard-hitting, uncompromising cup match played in the best traditions of the competition.  Both sides gave their all. We particularly wish to acknowledge the St. Michael’s captain Sam Berman who spoke superbly in the Blackrock dressing room after the game.

And so, to the next round.  The squad knows that they must improve if they’re going to make further progress.  That is the good news.
