Rugby – SCT v Sedbergh School

The last kick of the game secured victory for Sedbergh in an excellent contest played on the front lawn last Saturday, 15th October. Captain Oliver Coffey (6th Year) and his squad showed great spirit and determination in battling back from 3-22 deficit to lead 24-22.

We congratulate Sedbergh on their victory. They played with skill, pace, intelligence and admirable sportsmanship. For us there are many positives to be taken from the game and we will be better for the experience. I thank our coaches Mr Vanstone, Mr Manion, Mr Murray and Mr Toomey for their preparation of the squad.

The Senior 2nd, JCT and Junior 2nd also played Sedbergh with the Senior 2nds winning their game while the Junior and Junior 2nds lost. We thank our Junior Coaches Mr Daly, Mr Kelly and Mr Barry for preparing the Junior Squads.

We particularly thank Mr Evan O’Brien for his organisation of the fixtures and the occasion and our catering team who fed in excess of 180 parents and boys.
