Rugby – Noel Turley Trophy 2019

Noel Turley Trophy
Saturday, 16th November 2019

Blackrock and St Michael’s contested the Noel Turley Trophy for the second time last Saturday, 16th November. In a keenly fought contest, the S.C.T. secured a narrow victory (17-14).
Noel, a past student of Rock, gave stellar service to both schools as a Teacher, Deputy Principal (St. Michael’s) and counsellor (Blackrock). Noel was a stalwart of the school’s game. He was renowned for high standards of sportsmanship and fair play; he was a gentleman.
I thank both Colleges for a contest worthy of his memory. I thank the coaches, our Games Administrator, Mr Evan O’Brien, and in particular Mrs Catherine Turley who presented the Trophy.
