Rugby – Leinster Schools Junior Cup. JCT v St Andrews College

Rugby scorelines, at times, are unforgiving. This one does not do justice to the organisation, skill, courage and endeavour of a gallant St. Andrew’s side who in the end were overpowered.

Congratulations to Captain Gregg Barron (3rd Year) and his squad on a victory that puts us in a quarter final against Clongowes after mid-term.

The challenge presented yesterday should sharpen our Juniors. A more cohesive performance will be required.

We thank our coaches Mr. Daly, Mr. Creighton, Mr Fairley, Mr. Toomey, Mr. Donnelly, Mr Moore and our medical team of Andrea Fitzgerald, our Dr Colreavy and physio Peter Mulrean. We particularly thank Gerard Jones (6th Year) and our Cheerleaders for their mobilisation of such huge support in the stand.
