Indoor Rowing Championships

On Saturday the 20th of January the Rowing team made the trip down to Limerick for the Irish Indoor Rowing Championships. In the first race of the day Jon-Luc Elias (3rd Year) took home a gold medal in the J15 1000m category, this was backed up by the success of Charlie Schmitt who came 5th and Oliver Hammersley, Andrew Clancy, and Daniel Moran (3rd Year) all of whom finished in the top half of the race. The J15s backed up this early success with Charlie Schmitt picking up a bronze medal in the 500m race.
J16 Level
At J16 level Ian Duane (4th Year), Casey Graham and Eoin Fitzpatrick (3rd Year) all picked up new personal bests in the 2000m.
J18 Level
In the J18 category Harry Pierce (6th Year) came 6th overall with Matthew Neary and James Hodgins (5th Year) putting in very strong performances in what was a very competitive field.
