RAD MUN 2019

On the 8/9th November, the Blackrock MUN team attended their second conference of the year, RADMUN, hosted by Rathdown school. We had two delegations, representing the United Kingdom was Andrew McSweeney, Joey Haughton, Alex Kirrane, Stephen Corr, Matthew Keeley (all 5th Year) and representing Brazil Conor Casey and Jamie Starr-Bourke (both 3rd Year), Aaron O’Flaherty (2nd Year), James Lee and Frazer McGinn (both 3rd Year), and Evan Walsh (5th Year). Michael Lucey (5th Year) was the President of Security Council and Oliver Bosworth was the chair of SOCHUM.

The Blackrock delegations were once again very successful, with Conor Casey, Matthew Keeley, Andrew McSweeney and Joey Haughton winning Distinguished Delegate awards and the UN delegation of the UK won one of the three Outstanding Delegation awards.

I congratulate all the boys who assisted in the organisation of RADMUN 2019 and all our delegates in attendance.
