Prize Day 2021

Torrential rain bouncing off the Sports Hall provided the soundscape for Thursday’s Prize Day Ceremony.

This was the 161st occasion for presenting prizes to our top academics, musicians, debaters, performers, artists as well as those who gave service to our community.

President of the Union Stephen Mullin (Class of 1983) presented the award. He congratulated them on their energy and productivity but particularly on their resilience. He wished them well in their examinations and looked forward to welcoming them into the Union.

The most prestigious prize is the General Excellence award and this year’s recipient is the most worthy Alex Kelly.

We thank Mr Herlihy, Mr Madden, Mr Sheil, Mr Ryan, Ms Nolan, Ms Markey and Mr O’Shea for this important ceremony.
