Libermann Day Collaboration Mass 2021

At 9.00 am this morning, we had a groundbreaking, historic occasion as Fr. Wambu C.S.Sp., President of the Holy Ghost School Makueni (Machakos), celebrated a collaborative mass for a congregation assembled 7000 km apart.

Boys from both schools, through English, Gaeilge and Swahili, shared the readings, the prayers of the Faithful, sang and provided the music.

It was a very special occasion and marked the start of our 2021 Development Education Project.

We congratulate our Global Schools Committee, led by Ms McGuire and Ms Byrne for their outstanding work in bringing this to fruition.

Stage II of the project, the interview stage, now commences as the boys get to know each other and collaborate on shared projects.

We thank Fr. Wambu, Mr Kosmos and their school community, Ms McGuire, Ms Byrne, our Global Schools Committee, Mr Madden and Mr Grumley-Traynor for making it happen.
