Your Digital Footprint
Friday, 12th April 2019

On Friday 12th April, Wayne Denner gave 2 talks in the Jubilee Hall; one to 2nd and 3rd Years, the other to 5th and 6th Years.
He explained to the boys the dangers that lurk within social media, that ‘privacy’ has no guarantees and gave real examples of situations where people lost out on job opportunities due to something they wrote or shared in their teen years. ‘Be respectful of self and others at all times’, was the clear message and also be wary of your on-line security.
Transition Year will have a similar talk entitled ‘Digital Citizenship, by Dr Nigel McKelvey from the Letterkenny Institute of Technology on the 16th May.
