Masterchef Final 2019

Monday, 27th May 2019
Derry Clarke of l’Ecrivan restaurant chaired our judging panel at the 2019 MasterChef final last Monday 27th May. 8 Transition Year qualifiers went to battle. To be in the final was an achievement in itself as 35 had contested the qualifiers.
Shane Redahan was declared the winner with Oscar Bourke-Mullaney in 2nd and Conor Bleakley in 3rd. The standard, once again, was very high and we congratulate all the finalists – Ethan Slater, Darragh Harrison, Matthew Gibney, Sam Horkan and Matthew O’Meara.
We thank our judges Derry Clarke, David Murphy (class of 2013) and particulary Ms Marren who has led this fantastic event for over 20 years now.
We also thank Mr O’Neill, Mr Toolan, who adjudicated in the semi-final, Andrew Ryan (TY) who assisted Ms Marren with the organisation and set up and the parents in attendance who provided much encouragement and support.
A great event!
