Mass of Remembrance 2019

Mass of Remembrance
Wednesday, 27th November 2019
Chief Celebrant Fr Myles Healy reminded the large congregation at our annual Mass for those who passed away over the year “that they are not lost, they are with God”.
It was an excellent liturgy, at the same time moving and comforting, deeply appreciated by all.
Stephen Mullin (Class of 1983) and his wife Mary Rose, represented the Union and the past pupils who may have passed away unknown to us.
I thank Fr Healy, Fr Nash, Fr O’Brolchain, Bishop Ellison, Fr Browne, Fr Dundon, Fr McDonald, Fr de Blacam and Fr Duffy (Parish Priest, Cabinteely) for concelebrating the Mass, our servers Pepe Echivarria, Juan Pablo, Tobias Moyna and Niall Smyth (all 2nd Year); Ministers of the Eucharist David Ryan, Adam Simpson and Patrick O’Connor (all 6th Year), past-pupils choir Charlie Byrne (Class of 2018) (cantor), Gavin Coll, Tom Dwan, Rob Jordan, Hugh Kelly (Class of 2018), Harry Keyes, Rob Kinsley, Rob Mongey, Bernard O’Sullivan (Class of 2016) and Ben Rigney (2019 unless stated) and my colleagues Mr Grumley-Traynor, Mr Orrock, Ms McGlynn, Mr Herlihy, Ms Nolan, Mr Madden, Mr O’Shea, Ms Crimmins and Mr MacDermott all of whom made a contribution to this uplifting service.
“They whom we love and lose are no longer where they were before, they are now wherever we are”.
