We had a number of stellar performances at the Leister Swimming Championships last Sunday, 6th February.
Patrick Curley (6th Year) won gold in 17–19-year-olds 100m breaststroke. Ronan Fahey (5th year) won silver in 17–19-year-olds 400m free and also silver in 17–19-year-olds free 200m individual medley. Ronan narrowly missed bronze in 100m breast by 0.25 seconds!
Relays:
In the relays, we won gold in both the Junior Medley and the Junior Free. Gold in the intermediate free and bronze in the Medley relay; silver in the Senior free style.
Junior Medley Relay won gold:
Josh Murphy (2nd Year), Louis Waldron (1st Year), Alex Browne (2nd Year) and Charlie Collenette (2nd Year).
Intermediate Medley Relay won bronze:
Eamonn Bradley (4th Year), Oliver Lee (3rd Year), Cuan Fallon (3rd Year) and Ciarán Murphy (3rd Year).
Junior Free Relay won gold:
Ted Taylor (2nd year), Alex Browne (2nd year), Louis Waldron (1st year) and Charlie Collenette (2nd year).
Intermediate Free Relay won gold:
Eamon Bradley (4th year), Oliver Lee (3rd year), Cuan Fallon (3rd year) and Michael Curley (4th year).
Senior Free Relay won silver:
Ronan Fahey (5th Year), Patrick Curley, David MacHale (both 6th Year) and Michael Curley (4th Year)
