Congratulations to captain Robert Kenny and the 6th Year Dayboys on their semi-final win over the 5th years, captained by Sean Purcell. Early goals from Darragh Dempsey, Michael Nealon gave the 6th years a healthy lead going in on half time. Team manager Rory Durand ensured his team did not take the foot off the gas in the 2nd half as his team sealed their place in the final with a 12-12 to 1-12 victory.

In the 2nd semi-final, we congratulate captain Padraig Hogan and the TY team, coached by Mr. Grant and Mr. O’Neill, who sprung a surprise in beating the Castle boarders. Conor Ryan scored 4 free’s in the 1st half and a crucial Thomas Downey goal gave the TY’s a 1-8 to 0-4 lead halfway through the 2nd half. Ending up victors by 1-11 to 0-5.
The final will be played as soon as Dublin moves out of level 3.
We thank the Deans, coaches, Games Administrator Mr O’Brien and the boys on this important memorial tournament. Karl Ashe died while in Transition Year 11 years ago.
