Golf – All Ireland Semi Final in Macroom Co. Cork

We commiserate with captain Alex Bolger (6th Year) and his teammates Robert Galligan, Tom Kelly (both class of 2020), Jake Foley (T. Year) and Matthew O’Brien (5th Year) on their loss in the All-Ireland Semi-final, losing 3-2 to R.B.A.I., played in Macroom Co. Cork on Tuesday last 17th August.

At the same time, we congratulate them on the quality of their golf but more importantly on the way they have represented us throughout the year. They have been excellent ambassadors for Blackrock.

We thank Conor Harte (Class of 2015), Mr McGlynn and Mr Evan O’Brien for their support of the team.

We particularly thank Andrea Fitzgerald who has done phenomenal work not just with this squad but also with the various squads over the years. Andrea has raised the profile of golf at Blackrock, building an esprit de corps between the golfers and a sense of community that has served us all well.

Andrea steps away now and we thank her for her infectious enthusiasm, her tremendous organisational skills and unswerving dedication to the boys.
