Dragon’s Den Final
Tuesday, 26th May 2020
On Tuesday 26th May the following young entrepreneurs battled it out over Microsoft Teams to secure investment for their new business’s from the Blackrock College Union Dragons. This year’s standard was exceptionally high. Congratulations to all Transition Year students who entered the process back in March. The following boys showed excellent communication and sales skills to the Dragons.
1ST PLACE
(Investment secured €1,000): Conn O’Byrne – Eldertree – a senior citizen digital support service.
2ND PLACE
(Investment secured €500): Adam Tunney, Sean Purcell, Michael English, Kai Murtagh – DTEP Digital Marketing.
3RD PLACE
(Investment secured €300): Alex Maguire – Subhub. An app. that allows you to monitor your subscriptions.
Matthew Collins (Vertical Wind Turbines) and Alex McGowan and James Harvey (find a personal trainer app.) came fourth and fifth place respectively.
This project would not be possible or engaging without the support of the College Union dragons. Their mentoring and guidance is crucial to the high standard of the project. Thank you dragons.
