Christmas Carol Service 2020

Christmas Carol Service
December 2020
It had to be different and it was. The boys were in their classrooms; the choir, orchestra, cantors, readers, and soloists were in the chapel. Our webcam brought us together and offered Community and fellowship for all who wished to be part of it, wherever they were.
Fr. O’Brolchain told us that “Christmas is a reminder that life is not about being important/better/rich/successful; it is about using all our gifts to be a loving person”.
There are so many who contributed to this very special liturgy. We thank Fr. O’Brolchain, our readers Sean Probert (6th Year), Conor McCarron (2nd Year), Lochlainn Maher (3rd Year), Colm Ó’hAonghusa (6th Year), Jack Burke (TYr), Mr Herlihy, Ms Nolan, Ms Markey, Oscar Bourke Mullaney (6th Year); our choir and musicians led by Ms O’Kane, Mr Orrock, Mr Grumley-Traynor and of course, the inspirational Mr Madden.
We thank my colleagues, all of whom made a difference and of course, the boys, each of whom provided a respectful ear, a strong voice, and an encouraging heart.
A great Blackrock occasion – well done!
