The Comhar Linn All Ireland Online Schools Chess Championship took place on Thursday 14th of May. Three students form Blackrock took part, Evan McCourt (TY) who came first, Robert MacHale (3rd Year) who placed 5th and Leon Coleman (TY) who placed 29th. They all competed in the Novice Tournament via Lichess. A huge congratulations to Evan for winning the tournament and to all who took part. There were 160 participants overall, therefore to not only win but to place 5th and 29th is a great achievement.
