1868 – 2018
Archbishop Jude Thaddeus Okolo, the Papal Nuncio was chief celebrant at the mass on All-Saints Day, 1st November, in celebration of the sesquincentenary of the College Chapel. Fr Martin Kelly, Spiritan Provincial and Bishop Robert Ellison concelebrated with a further 14 members of the Spiritan Congregation and Diocesan Priests.
It was a very special occasion attended by Mr John Rogan, President of the Union and his wife Nicky, Chairman of the Board of Management Mr Damien Kennedy and his wife Cora, representatives of the Parents Council, House Captains and their parents, staff and past-presidents of the Union and their wives.
I congratulate and thank Fr O Brolchain for his organisation of this celebration. I also thank Mr Madden, Mr O’Reilly, Mr Hurl, Ms Nolan, Ms McGlynn, Ms Crimmins, Mr Orrock, Mr Grumley Traynor and our 6th Year Choir, our Cantors, Servers, Ministers of the Eucharist and Readers all of whom ensured that it was a prayerful and joyous celebration.
