THE CAMINO DE SANTIAGO
We congratulate the Transition Year group:
Alejandro Arregui, Stephen Barry, Shane Bergin, James Byrne,
Shane Carney, Oisín Celada, Ethan Forde-Connolly, Daniel Evans,
Mark Gordon, David Hardiman, Ben Jordan, Brian McGlone,
Aidan Murphy, Declan Norton, James O’Donnell, David O’Farrell,
Ross O’Toole, Cal Roughan, Alex Ryan led by Fr. Marc Whelan, CSSp. (Provincial), Mr Brennan, Mr McMahon and Mr O’Neill on an excellent Pilgrimage.
The group followed the Camino Francés, a journey of 130 km.
I received the following email from a lady they encountered on the way:
“Whilst on the Camino last week, I met a group of Transition Year Students, Teachers and Chaplain from your College. I want to let you know that they made me proud to be Irish. We were lucky several mornings to see them pray and sing before they started their walk. My brother-in-law travelled from San Francisco to walk with me and he too was incredibly impressed by this group of young Irish men. Well done to them all”.
That says it all!
Well done, boys and thank you, Fr. Whelan, Mr Brennan, Mr McMahon,
Mr O’Neill and, of course, Mr Myles Ryan, who puts it all together.
