Basketball – U16 All Ireland Cup First Round

A tough game for captain Murray Baker (4th Year) and his squad who travelled to Limerick to face a strong Crescent side last Wednesday, 2nd October. It was a gutsy performance and the squad battled to the very end.

Tom Cherico (3rd Year) was the top scorer with 7 points while Eric Brandt (3rd Year) and Jack Dempsey Salley (3rd Year) fought well under the boards. James Sheridan (3rd Year) and Conor Ryan (3rd Year) contributed well from the bench, with Conor Ryan scoring 6 points in a brilliant display.

I thank our coaches Bobby Brusasca (Class of 2019) and Barry O’Sullivan (Class of 2018) who travelled with the boys and Mr O’Neill whose commitment to our Basketball programme is deeply appreciated.
