Basketball – Ireland U16 East-Leinster League

The U-16 team came up just short against a very strong U-16 Benildus side. This same Benildus team had won by a much wider margin as a 2nd Year group so there are positives to take in that regard.

‘Rock were 3 down at the end of the first, only down 1 at half time, but the greater experience of Benildus saw them run out deserved winners.

James Burton (3rd Year) was excellent under the boards with very strong rebounding, Tom Cherico ran the game very well from point guard and Eric Brandt (3rd Year) led the scoring with ten points.

A strong and encouraging performance from Murray Baker (Captain – 4th year) and his squad.
