6th Year Gold Medal Debate

Congratulations to Michael White who won this year’s Gold medal debate held in the Lecture Room on Monday (16th May) before a very enthusiastic, encouraging and supportive audience of his peers. Michael will be the Valedictorian at next Sunday’s Graduation Lunch and at Prize Day the following week.
He faced tough competition in John McDermott, James Carroll and Mark McCabe (all fellow proposition) Charlie O’Brien, Rory Luff, Conn O’Byrne and Michael Redmond (all opposition) and we congratulate them all.
We thank Mr Orrock and Ms Fitzsimons, Joint Chairpersons, adjudicators, Mr Sheil, Ms Kelleher, Ms Pierce and Freddie Noonan (Valedictorian class of 2021) for their organisation and diligence. We also thank the class of 2022 for their decorum and support for our 8 speakers.
