3rd Year Family Mass 2020

3rd Year Family Mass
Mission Sunday
Sunday, 8th November 2020
The theme for our annual 3rd Year Family Mass was ‘Family’. Mr Madden, in his prelude, spoke about the importance of Parents and Grandparents. He invited those watching from home, via the internet, to light the blessed candle given to each boy on Friday.
Sean O’Connor (5th Year) delivered an excellent homily. He spoke on the importance of connection with the elderly, not just as a service to them but also, because of the value added that they can bring to us all. They have stories to tell, advice to give.
343 unique viewers across 11 countries viewed the Mass. A tremendous response. Thank you.
We thank celebrant Fr Paddy Dundon, President of the Union Mr Stephen Mullin (class of 1983). Cantors Patrick Ryan, Daniel Flannery (both 3rd Year), Organist Alex Kelly (6th Year), readers/speakers, Oisin Daly, Donie Lenehan, Harry Pierce, Donnacha McGuire, James Clancy and the House Captains and Boarders for their contribution.
Finally, we thank my colleagues Ms O’Kane, Mr Orrock, Mr Brennan, Ms Crimmins and Mr Madden for their dedication to the boys.
