2nd Year SciFest School Competition 2019 Winners

2nd Year SciFest School Competition
2019 Winners
Monday 19th to Friday 23rd November 2018
Congratulations to all our 2nd Year boys on their SciFest projects which were on display in the senior wing last week 19th-23rd November. The standard in terms of presentation, research and detail was most impressive and reflects well on the boys themselves and of course their teachers whose commitment, contribution and dedication made it possible – well done and thank you.
Ethan Leon-Ryan and Max Mullins project on ‘Becoming Carbon Neutral’ was the overall winner with ‘Investigating the mbempa affect’ by Conor Hughes, Ben Kieran-Glennon and Daniel Keeley on second place. There were other awards for Life Science, Technology, Physical Science, Road Safety and Communications (the winners are listed below).
A brilliant event masterminded by our Science Department led by Ms Kelly, Ms Nolan and Mr Ward. I thank my former colleagues Ms Cellier, Mr Daly, Mr Rowsome and Ms Sweeney for taking the time to judge the competition. Their interest, experience and expertise is deeply appreciated.
