2nd Year Family Mass 2020

2nd Year Family Mass
Mission Sunday
Sunday, 11th October 2020
Together we can do more was the theme for our Mission Awareness Week which culminated in the 2nd Year Family Mass on Sunday, 18th October.
2nd Year House Captains and Boarders were present in the College Chapel as the Mass was streamed via our webcam to our extended 2nd Year Community. Each boy had been given a candle to light, at home, during the Mass as a symbol of our community spirit. Colm Fagan (5th Year) spoke about the impact the Transition Year immersion trip to Kenya last February had on him. Fr. Nash encouraged us to look into our hearts and live our Christian Mission.
Fr. Nash blessed miraculous medals which will be distributed amongst the boys during the week.
We thank Fr. Tom Nash C.S.Sp., President of the Union Stephen Mullin (Class of 1983), Ms Harlowe, Mr Orrock, Ms Markey, Mr Mealiffe, Ms Dunne, Mr Pat Smith, Mr Puszczewicz-Cuddihy, Mr Ciaran Olohan (Class of 2004); Cantors Isaac Moss (2nd Year) and Oscar Bourke-Mullaney (6th Year); Organist Alex Kelly (6th Year); Readers, Jeremy Carroll, Michael Carolan, Ben McElligott and Michael Breslin (all 2nd Year), and of course Mr Madden for making it such a meaningful liturgy for us all.
