2nd Year Family Mass

2nd Year Family Mass
Mission Sunday: 22nd October 2018
Chief Celebrant Fr. Brendan Carr told us that the basis of our mission is to facilitate people in knowing their own dignity and the love that God has for them. He stressed the importance of going the distance. This journey most importantly is one of self-discovery, discovering who we are, establishing our own identity and making a difference in the lives of others.
The musicians, choir, readers, servers and processionists all contributed to a great liturgy. As part of the Liturgy, four 6th Year boys Drummond McGinn, Dylan Hutchinson, Conor O’Neill and Ben White were commissioned as ‘Ministers of the Eucharist’.
I thank President of the Union, Mr John Rogan (class of 1989), and his wife Vicky, Fr Carr, Fr Gavin and Deacon Liam, Mr Hurl, Mr Madden, Mr Grumley-Traynor, Ms O’Kane, Ms Crimmins, Mr Donal Brennan, Mr Owen Brennan, Ms McGlynn, Mr O’Reilly, Ms Harlowe, Mr Herlihy and Ms Marren, the 2nd Years and their families in attendance, for this joyous celebration of our Blackrock ethos.
