Debating – Junior Team Update, Term 1 2021
Leinster Junior Schools Debating Competition
November 2021
This term, we have four teams competing in the Leinster Junior Schools Debating Competition organised by the Law and the Literary and Historical Society in UCD. We are currently competing in the Round 2 of this competition.
Team A: Jamie Browne Lynch & Josh Murphy (both 2nd Year).
Team B: Tom Hayden & Cillian Staunton (both 2nd Year).
Team C: Ishaan Pandey & Darragh O’Neill (both 3rd Year).
Team D: Shane Hamilton & Zack Egan-Ruane (both 3rd Year).
Winning Team:
Team C: Ishaan and Darragh came 1st place in their room in Round 1.

We also have four teams competing in the Spar Debates hosted by Holy Child Killiney on November 9th.
Team A: Brian Carroll & Cillian Staunton (both 2nd Year)
Team B: Josh Murphy & Jamie Browne Lynch (both 2nd Year)
Team C: Darragh O’Neill & Ishaan Pandey (both 3rd Year)
Team D: Shane Hamilton & Zack Egan Ruane (both 3rd Year)
We have four teams hoping to compete for a place in the ICYD Debating Competition being hosted this year in Cambridge University.
Lastly, this term we are also competing against the Blackrock College Senior Debating Team on November 26th.
