Chess Update – 1st Online Tournament

The chess team have been lucky enough to continue their training online with help from our coach Lukasz. The boys have been competing against one another on ‘lichess.org’ on Monday’s and Thursday’s. On Saturday 23rd May, we held our first ever on-line tournament.

Team A:
Liam Norton, Ronan Prior, Conor Hughes, Evan McCourt, Andrew Welch and Philip O’Neil

Team B:
Matthew Collins, Sean O’ Connor, John Duffy, Charlie Parsons, Harry Pierce and George Francis.

Each player was matched with an opponent and each match was decided by means of a 3-game series.
