It was a busy weekend for our rowers as they contested the Commercial and Neptune Regattas on Saturday and Sunday, 6th and 7th April. There were many solid performances.

Junior 15 – Single Sculls Event
Notably, Matthew Kane (3rd Year) won his J15 single sculls final in the Commercial Regatta.
Junior 16 – Neptune Regatta
Our J16 eight were beaten by Colaiste Iognaid in the final (Neptune Regatta). This fantastic thrilling race was posted live on Instagram.
J16 Team: Eoin McGrath, Colm Fagan, Harry Ballard, Sean O’Connor, Matthew O’Donnell, Alex Brophy (all 3rd Year), Hugo Mangan and Oisin Fitzgerald (both 4th Year) and Jackson Murphy (cox) (2nd Year)

In all, 30 boys represented us over the weekend across 13 events ranging from single sculls to pairs, quads to eights.
I congratulate all the boys on their commitment to this demanding sport. We are very proud of you. I thank our coaches Laura and Pat Gannon, Hugh Mohan (Class of 2015), David Drennan (Class of 2018) and Eoin Craven and of course the Parents Committee who make it happen.
