Applying to Blackrock College
Applications for 1st Year:
First Year takes place in Willow Park Senior School, located on the same campus as Blackrock College. For information on First Year enrolment and registration, please visit the Admissions section on www.willowparkschool.ie.
Students in 2nd to 6th Year attend Blackrock College. For information on applying to these year groups, please see the admission details below.
Applications for 2nd Year:
In line with the new enrolment policy and Government guidelines, Blackrock College will commence accepting applications for admission to 2nd Year 2027 in October 2026 for a 3 week period. The 2nd year application opening and closing dates will be displayed soon.
The 2nd Year application form will be available to access for this period of time only. A copy of a recent report and reference will be requested along with any other relevant information at a later date, if we are in a position to offer an interview or place. 2nd Year application submissions after the date of closing are seen as late entries.
No applications for 2nd Year can be accepted for any other academic year. For all future years, there will be an enrolment period approximately 12 months prior to the start date. Please click the above button to access the application.

About Applications
The application form will request personal details including (i) name/address of boy and parents/guardians, (ii) date of birth, (iii) contact telephone numbers/e-mail address, (iv) details of any medical/psychological condition, (v) religion, (vi) previous schools attended.
A copy of a recent report and reference will be requested along with any other relevant information. Places are typically awarded 12 to 18 months in advance of commencement. Applications received subsequently to the allocation of places are on a waiting list status only.
Blackrock College, within the context and parameters of D.E.S. regulations and programmes, the rights of the Patron, as set out in the Education Act and the funding and resources available, supports the principles of inclusiveness particularly with reference to the enrolment of children with a disability or other special educational needs.
