Soccer – Leinster Cup V Ballinteer CS

Congratulations to Ronan Cowhey (6^th Year) and the Senior Soccer Team on their 4-1 win in the second round of the Leinster cup, played in very tough weather conditions last Wednesday 13^th November on a UCD all weather pitch. Playing with the wind in the 1^st half an early Jamie Dowling (6^th Year) strike gave us a 1-0 lead. This was followed up quickly by Riley Smith (5^th Year) who finished well form a Jamie Dowling cross.

In the 2^nd half, we started strongly again. An excellent move down our left-hand side saw Ossie McKenna (4^th Year) pass the ball to Eoin O’Farrell (6^th Year) who played a neat 1-2 with Ronan Cowhey and followed that with a perfectly weighted pass to Tom MacNulty who finished well. Jamie Dowling got his 2^nd a few moments later. We move onto the next round of the competition against Clonkeen College.
