Rugby Senior Cup Quarter Final – SCT V St. Michaels

Commiserations to Captain Sean O’Brien (6th Year) and his squad on a gallant performance in Donnybrook yesterday, Monday 25th February.

We salute St. Michael’s, congratulate them on their victory and wish them well. They took their opportunities and defended superbly often under intense pressure.

The Senior Cup Squad gave of their best, no doubt. We thank them for representing us with character, skill and endeavour. They were worthy of the excellent support in the stand and the rousing reception in the refectory on their return. Each spoke eloquently about their gratitude to family, friends, teammates, coaches and fellow students.

I thank our coaches Mr Vanstone, Mr Lambe, Mr Pickering, Mr Murray, Mr Toomey, Mr Moore; our medical team of Dr. Boyle, Mr Mulrean and Ms Fitzgerald; our Games Administrator Mr Evan O’Brien; our Cheerleaders; our grounds, household and catering staff, our boys and my colleagues in attendance.
