Rugby – Leinster Schools’ Senior Cup, Jan 2020

First and foremost, we congratulate Gonzaga on their victory in what was an epic contest. Both sides played with an intensity and spirit that represented the best traditions of their schools and this competition.

We commiserate with Captain Mark Morrissey (6th Year) and his squad. They gave their all. No more is expected. The support for them at the reception in the College afterwards confirmed this.

Thanks to the coaches Mr Vanstone, Mr Manion, Mr Murray, Mr Lambe, Mr Toomey, Physio Mr Mulrean and our medical team of Dr Boyle and Ms Fitzgerald for their commitment and expertise.

Thanks also to our Games Administrator Mr Evan O’Brien who works tirelessly behind the scenes, our Deans and Teachers, our Cheerleaders led by Gerard Jones (6th Year), the many boys in attendance in Donnybrook and back in the College, as well as our grounds and catering staff who always deliver.
