Annual Blessing of the Boats

There was an excellent turnout in Blessington last Saturday 7th December as Fr Myles Healy presided over the annual blessing of the Boats. Blessington Sailing Club has been our home for 15 months now and it provides a beautiful setting particularly when the weather is so benign, as it was on Saturday.
There was a great festive spirit as we celebrated the year end. Our rowers are hugely committed to the cause and deserve the support of their parents, their coaches and the College.

I thank our coaching team led by Laura Gannon, our school liaison Ms Reilly and our Games Administrator Mr Evan O’Brien who nurture that essential connection between school and home.

I thank Fr Healy for an excellent liturgy. I deeply appreciate the efforts of the President of our Rowing club, Mr Aidan Tiernan, and his fellow parents who are the lifeblood of this venture.
