Karl Ashe Memorial Trophy Final 2019

The 5th Year Dayboys beat the Boarders by 4 points (2.12 – 1.11) in a memorable final last Friday evening, September 20th.

The Boarders, captained by Conor Gammell led with 5 minutes to go but a penalty and three excellent points shaded it for the 5th Years, led by Robert Kenny.

The trophy and medals, runners-up and winners, were presented by the Dean of 5th Year, Ms Brunswick at the Karl Ashe Memorial Bench in front of the Castle on his 10th anniversary (19th September).

I thank our Games Administrator, Mr Evan O’Brien, Referee Mr Grant, Director of Boarding, Mr MacDermott and 5th Year Dean, Ms Brunswick for their support for this important occasion in our calendar.

He will never be forgotten.
