Sion Hill Junior MACE
Saturday, 9th March 2024
On March 9th, Arlo Liddy and Paddy English (both 2rd Year) competed in the Sion Hill Junior MACE.
Motions included
First Proposition:
This House Believes That classic novels such as ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ and ‘Of Mice and Men’ should be removed from the Junior Cycle course.
First Opposition:
This House Believes That advancing technology does more harm than good.
Closing Opposition:
Violence can be a legitimate form of protest
There were 48 students competing in this competition. They should be very proud of themselves for stepping out of their comfort zone!
We thank Prachi and the Sion Hill Debating Team for hosting this event.
