Environmental Awareness Week, March 2022

Last week’s EAW focussed on raising awareness on litter and waste disposal, in our College community.

Events included a daily lunch-time litter patrol, a film, ‘The Great Green Wall’, shown in 5th and 6th Year non-exam R.E. throughout the week and a beach clean-up by 4th Years last Thursday.

Each day had a different focus – Tuesday/Plastic, Wednesday/Fast Fashion, Thursday/Electronic (Batteries) and Friday/Food.

The Green Schools Committee hopes to formulate an Action Plan following on from the week’s activities.

We thank Frazer McGinn, Chairman and the Green School’s Committee, Ms Harlowe and Ms Wyse for their organisation of this week but also for their stewardship of our environment.
