Corporate Duck Race

On Friday 8th February the Transition Year Corporate Duck Race took place in Grand Canal Basin on Hannover Quay. The sun was shining but it was windy, blustery conditions as a new record time was set by the 2019 Ducks.

Over the last number of weeks the Transition Year Duck Race Sales Team have put in a huge effort sending emails and making calls to try and get those sales made. Thankfully those efforts result in a superb amount raised of almost €13,500. We thank our event sponsors IBEC, AIB, EMS Copiers and Sports Vending along with all those who sponsored a duck.

Funds raised will support Aidlink’s work in Kenya and Uganda and also Solèy Haiti’s work in Bigue Community School in Northern Haiti where the funds will pay the staff salaries for the entire academic year 2019/2020.

I thank Mr O’Neill and his team for their preparation of the ducks!
