Basketball Update – U19 All-Ireland Schools Cup Last 16

Congratulations to Captain Robert Brusasca (6th Year) and has squad on a very tough loss. Training 29-31 at halftime, and losing Sean Lardner to injury in the second quarter we were really up against it. Then trailing by ten going into the final quarter we produced an incredible 25 point final quarter and led by two with just over three minutes to go but unfortunately didn’t quite manage to see it through.

Nicolas Brusasca (5th Year) shot superbly with a 25 point scoring total, just edging out his brother Robert Brusasca in the scoring stakes who got 24 points. There is a lot more to play for in the season.

I thank Ms Grealish for the organisation of the logistics and Calum Henry (Class of 2016), Rob Somers (Class of 2017) and Mr O’Neill for their preparation of the team.

Next up is St. Benildus at home where a win will secure an East-Leinster Quarter final after the midterm break.
