We commiserate with Captain Keith Lyons (5th Year) and his squad as the match didn’t go our way.

We trailed just by 1 at the end of the first quarter, but the greater experience of Woodbrook saw them run out deserved winners.

Finlay Mackay (5th Year) was strong on offence with quick plays and running fast breaks, Dixon Chongo (5th Year) and Luka Knierim (4th Year) were again powerful under the boards with their defensive and offensive rebounds giving us the offensive platform required. Keith Lyons (5th Year) shooting from range was very good along with Rory Kelly (5th Year) who continuously showed huge intensity which the team needed towards the last minutes of the game.

There will be other days.

Congratulations to Captain Keith Lyons (5th Year) and the U19 Development squad on the away win at St. Columba’s College. After conceding the first basket we were ahead throughout.

We led 10-4 after the first ten minutes with Luka Knierim (4th Year) scoring eight points after his great efforts under the boards. In the second quarter 16 points from Tom Cosgrove (5th Year) extended our lead. This game marks a strong start for a team that will really benefit from the court time.
