We congratulate over two hundred students, who successfully completed the 2020 Auxilium programme of service. At a time associated with uncertainty and isolation for many, these students (all 2nd year) looked bravely outwards, focusing firmly, and with Robur, on those around them in need of support. These students led a bigger life of service, in recent months, the likes of which shapes our attitudes to one another. Through Teams, they quickly adjusted their goals for the programme, to adhere to social distancing restrictions, and showed ample Fides throughout. Many became first-rate versions of themselves, through service in their immediate community. This matters. While one’s actions may often appear minute, these students’ service amounts collectively to over 2,500 hours of practical support, joy and delight brought to others. This is faith and love put into action. Whether helping older neighbours or raising money for Covid-19 research, it is worth writing about. It is fundamental to the College values to Be There and Be Caring. The result has been strengthened relationships, demonstrative care and respect for others and increased connectivity with community and family.

We recognise in particular the following students, who earned certificates of distinction; Charlie Adams, Daniel Begley, James Clancy, Tom Grant, Sam Grennell, Patrick Hayden, Harry King, Jack MacCarthy, Robert MacHale, Senan McCloskey, Jack Murphy, Conor O’Leary, Philip O’Neill, Jack Rapley and Harry Tansley.
