Preparation for Christmas has started in earnest as the P.P.A. held their annual Carol Service last Sunday, the first Sunday of Advent, followed by mulled wine and mince pies in St. Patrick’s Hall.

The College Adult Choir, led by Killian Grumley Traynor and accompanied by Simon Orrock was in fine voice as they delivered a festive programme. The readings by Dermot Horan (Class of 1979), Bernie Lloyd, Helen Gardiner, Michelle Lynch and Fr Colclough (Class of 1980), added to the occasion.

I thank Mary Sugrue and Andrea Fitzgerald for their assistance with the refreshments.

Finally, I thank our chairperson Ursula Grogan who leads a dynamic and vibrant committee.
