UCD Junior Debating Round 2, Nov 2019

Round 2 of the UCD Junior Debating Competition was held on Thursday 7th of November.

The motions included:

Debates
Motion 1:	This House Would ban animal testing.
Motion 2:	This house regrets the rise of reality TV shows. (e.g. Love Island, Dance Moms, Keeping Up with the Kardashians etc.)

Round 3 will take place in The Newman Building in UCD on Thursday November 21st.

On Friday November 8th 1st, 2nd & 3rd Year students debated the motion:

This House Believes that environmental activists should focus on lobbying big industry rather than on individuals

Best 1st year speaker was Peter O’Connor and best overall speaker was Harry Pierce (2nd Year).
